How do I use as FloodSax as a flood/storm mitigation tool?

Take your FloodSax out of the bag and place in position, energise the bag using water from a hose, bucket, sink or the flood water itself and within minutes you are ready to protect your home or business.

Place expanded FloodSax in layers to build a barrier to the height required and ensure each bag is placed tightly against the previous bag to stop water seeping through cracks between bags.

How to use FloodSax for accidental water damage?

FloodSax are super absorbent which makes them a great solution for accidental water damage such as a faulty internal sprinkler system, broken pipes, leaking ceilings and appliances such as washing machines, dishwashers and freezers.

To put FloodSax into action simply take the product out of the bag and place either under the leak or on top of the spill.

The Home Pack bag will absorb up to 13 litres of water and the Commercial Pack bag will absorb up to 22 litres of water in about 3 minutes.

What are the FloodSax bags made of?

The semi – porous inner lining of FloodSax contains hundreds of super absorbent polymer crystals that will expand the bag in about 3 minutes. The crystals are interwoven with a wood pulp mix that provides a ‘robust’ solution capable of deflecting water flow.

Once the water is absorbed it is suspended inside the bag providing a clean sanitized solution.

Can the FloodSax bags be re-used?

FloodSax can only be energized once however they last for up to three months.

This is due to the chemical reaction that takes place between the super absorbent crystals and water that produces a gel, this gel gives the bag their robustness, but only allows FloodSax to be energized once.

Where are FloodSax made?

FloodSax are 100% biodegradable, environmentally friendly products that are made in the UK and have a 5 year shelf life.

How many FloodSax will I need?

Commercial Premises
Commercial premises with more than two doors and a roller door require at least one Commercial Pack (link to commercial pack page). This will absorb up to 440 litres of water.

For flood defence against both moving and stagnant water against a solid wall, closed door or roller shutter a single row of FloodSax is required.

Three fully energised Commercial Pack bags placed tightly together are required per layer for each one metre length.

Resedential
The Home Pack is designed to protect one door and will absorb up to 60 litres of water.
